Small Molecule Antibody Preparation

Introduction

Small molecule antibodies are widely used in food safety testing, disease-related metabolic intermediates detection, drug and doping detection, etc. AtaGenix offers the whole process of small molecule modification, coupling, antibody preparation, and reagent kit preparation technical services.

Antigen (Ag) refers to all the substances that can induce the body to develop an immune response; that is, it can be specifically recognized by the antigen receptor on the surface of T/B lymphocytes (TCR/BCR) and binding, activation of T/B cells. It can be specifically recognized and bound by the antigen receptor (TCR/BCR) on the surface of T/B lymphocytes, activate T/B cells, make them proliferate and differentiate, and produce immune response products (sensitized lymphocytes or antibodies), and can be specifically bound to the corresponding products in vivo and ex vivo; therefore, antigens have two important characteristics: immunogenicity and immune reactivity (immuneoreactivity). Immunogenicity refers to the ability of an antigen to induce a specific immune response in the body and produce antibodies or sensitized lymphocytes; immunoreactivity refers to the ability to specifically bind with the corresponding immune effectors (antibodies or sensitized lymphocytes) outside the body. Antigens are categorized as complete antigens and semi-antigens.

Complete antigen (complete antigen) referred to as antigen. It is a class of substances that have both immunogenicity and immunoreactivity. Such as most proteins, bacteria, viruses, bacterial exotoxins, etc. are complete antigen.

Half antigen (hapten) is a substance with immune reactivity, but no immunogenicity, so it is also called incomplete antigen. Small molecules are semi-antigens, which need to be connected with large molecules (carriers) to form immunogenicity, which can induce an immune response and produce antibodies.

Advantages

1. Free antigen evaluation (whether it needs to be modified to be coupled): only CAS number or small molecule structural formula is required

2. Stable small molecule modification and coupling technology

3. Reliable antibody purification technology: small molecule coupled with BSA as affinity purification column.

4.Free choice of poly/mono antibody.
