Yeast Expression System is a widely applicable method in industrial microorganism production due to its genetic and physiological background being well known. It combines the advantages of prokaryotic expression and eukaryotic expression for example it is fast to grow, inexpensive to culture, easy to operate, etc. Using yeast, it is possible to perform post-translational modifications, processing and folding, resulting in a recombinant protein which has a more soluble and stable nature.
